Sunday it snowed 5.5 inches and by Monday evening it was almost gone. Today is cloudy but warm enough to melt the rest of the snow. BUT, more snow is predicted for tomorrow. We’ve only had about 40 inches of snow this season and I doubt we’ll be close to the 78 inches we had last season.
The seeds I planted a week ago are all doing well, some more than others. The pumpkins and gourds are 2-3 inches tall, as are the zucchini and cantaloupe. The rest are doing well too … okra, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. It will be another 4-5 weeks before it will be warm enough at night to plant them in the garden.
The orange tree and lemon tree are starting to set fruit and aren’t dropping blossoms like they did last year.
Some of the houseplants have been moved from the greenhouse into the house. The cats LOVE the plants but are starting to leave them alone. It is somewhat difficult to keep all 5 cats from eating leaves.
I’m going to make an effort to keep this blog up better than I did before … and hope you enjoy it.
